Cliff Horton

Cliff is passionate about worship.  He is a gifted guitarist and sings a wide range of music.  He is often accompanied by his daughter, Hannah Grace, who is also a gifted singer.  He is married to Leigh Ann Sigrest Horton.  We are grateful to have them with us at Pelahatchie.

Any man or woman on this earth who is bored and turned off by worship is not ready for heaven.

Will you WOrship?

Martin Luther said, "The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to man that he should proclaim the Word of God through music."  Every time we meet at Pelahatchie Baptist Church it is our desire to do just that....proclaim the Word of God through music.  The combined voices of the choir and the congregation serve to exalt God and confess the greatness of His great work through Jesus Christ.  Worship has been misunderstood as something you feel in our modern society.  Worship, at its essence, is an act of the will to serve and obey the Lord Jesus Christ.  We do not worship only when we feel like it.  We worship because it is what God commands.

"Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim His salvation day after day."  (1 Chronicles 16:23)

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks."  (John 4:23)
